It's not just a race, it's an adventure
2.1 To be able to participate in Amphiman Swimrun you have to race in a team consisting of two persons that are at least 18 years old and able to swim.
2.2 Each team member needs to have a valid insurance. This is part of the subscription package and thus provided by the organisation.
2.3 Entry fee is final and will only be reimbursed to 75% against a doctors certificate 2 months prior to the race and reimbursed to 50% against a doctors certificate 1 months prior to the race.

2.4 It is allowed to change one team member in your team.
2.5 In the last month prior to the race, it is only allowed to change team member WITHIN the category (men/mixed/women).
3.1.1 The race course is marked
3.1.2 The participants must follow the marked course
3.1.3 The participants that do not follow the marked course will be disqualified.
3.2.1.There will be a number of checkpoints throughout the course, see map.
3.2.2.There may be additional un-announced checkpoints along course, not shown on map.
3.2.3.Teams failing to pass a checkpoint will be disqualified.
3.3.1 There will be several medical points where participants can get help if needed.
3.3.2 There will be medical staff and equipment on boats.
1. All teams need to keep all their equipment from start to finish.
2. Teams picking-up or dropping-off equipment will be disqualified.
3. Before the race there will be a mandatory gear check.
The following equipment must be carried throughout the race:
Supplied by athletes:
– 2 x Whistles
– 2 x Wetsuits suitable for water temperature of 10 degrees Celsius
Supplied by AmphiMan Swimrun:
– 2 x Race chips
– 2 x Swim caps
– 2 x Race Jersey’s
– Floatation help that is bigger than 100 cm x 60 cm.
– Any motorized equipment.
5.1 The race will be timed from the start until the last of the two team members passes the finish line.
5.2 Each team member needs to carry an ankle chip for the entire race.
5.3 Cutoff times will be published during the race briefing which will be held previous to the start.
6.1.1 The participants must know the rules and follow these
6.1.2 The participants shall respect other participants, organization, spectators and the people living in the race area.
6.1.3 The participants are not allowed to use unfair methods to get advantages
6.1.4 Any kind of doping is forbidden, we follow WADAS regulations and NIF rules.
6.1.5 The participants are obliged to help in case of emergency if the organization is asking for it.
6.2.1 The participants are participating at their own risk and cannot hold the organization responsible for any accident during the race.
6.2.2 The teams are obliged at their best ability to help another team that have been injured or being sick.
6.2.3 A team that has abandoned the race shall report it as soon as possible to the organization.
6.2.4 The participants are not allowed to throw trash into nature. If a team is doing so they will get disqualified.
7.1.1 Race jury is the race director and two other persons from the race organization.
7.1.2 The race jury is:
– Enforcing the rules
– Decide the outcome of a protest
– Decide about disqualification
– Handles protests
– Decide about course changes and changes in the rules
7.1.3 At least two members of the jury is needed to be able to take a race jury decision.
7.1.4 The race jury has the right to use “common sense” to take a decision about arisen situation if it is not clear in the rules
7.1.5 The decision of the race jury is definitive
7.2.1 A protest must be given in written to the race organization within an hour after finishing the race.
7.2.2 A protest must include:
– Time and location
– Team number and signatures of both Team members
– Team number or Team name of the Team that the protest is against
– The reason for the protest
– If possible include witness with name or Team number
7.2.3 A protest that does not fill the criteria of point 7.2.2 is being ignored.
7.2.4 A decision from the race jury will be communicated to those involved as soon as it has been made
7.3.1. A team that fails to follow the AmphiMan Swimrun rules will be disqualified.
– It is forbidden for Teams to throw trash into nature.
– The participants that do not follow the marked course and/or skip checkpoints will be disqualified.
– Unauthorized equipment will lead to disqualification
– It is not allowed to receive assistance from other people than the race organization. Each team has to make their own way from start to finish.
8.1. The two members of each team has to stay together at all time and cannot be more than 50 meters apart on land and not more than 10 meters during swimming.
8.2. Race Security will stop the first member and force him/her to wait for his/her partner before he/she can continue in case the distance is too far apart.
8.3. The race organization can refuse a team to continue if they judge them not capable caused by fatigue or being in such bad physical condition.
8.4. When a team gives up and quits it should notify the organization of this (when quitting or at the finish line) to avoid an unnecessary search operation. Such unnecessary costs can be charged to those athletes.
9.1.1. The teams are allowed to have sponsors marked on their race gear.
9.2.1. The race bibs cannot be modified in any way and must be worn all the time
9.3.1. The race swim caps cannot be modified in any way and must be worn and visible on all swims.
9.4.1. The participants gives the race organization the right to use pictures and film material taken during the race to be used free of rights in marketing, press material, internet, television and movie.
10.1 By entering the race, through payment of the entry fee, each team member accepts and agrees the rules in full.
